Wewereevengivenlittlepersonalradiostoreceiveinstructionsfromourguideduringtheclimb!

Ourexpectationsbegantobuildandourgroupbecameexcited.Onehourlater,wewerereadytogo!

Wefirstcrossedsomecatwalksbelowtheroadpartofthebridge.IwasgladIwasn’tafraidofheights.LookingdownthroughthecatwalkIcouldseetheground50meters(164feet)below!

Nextweclimbedtheladdersleadingup,up,uptothebridge’sarch.Carsspedbyontheroadbelow.Thewindblewmorefiercelythehigherweclimbed.Moreandmoreofthecityslowlycameintoview.Soonwewereapproachingtheverytopofthebridge!

Whatasceneitwasatthetop!Clear,bird’seyeviewsofthecityextendedinalldirections.Lookingsouthwesawthecityskyline,thefamousOperaHouseandtheocean.Itwasjustlikelookingatapostcard,exceptthatwewerereallypartofthepicture!Everyonefeltproudofhavingreachedthisspotinthecity.

Noonewasreadytoleavewhenitwastimetogodown.Thetwohourswehadspentonthebridgeseemedtopassinaninstant.Butthememoryofhavingseensuchauniquescenewillstaywithusforalifetime.
