Recentlywe’veobservedanincreasingrequestfromdisadvantagedandregional(地区的)schoolsforattendingoneofourzooareasatnocostorpartlypaidsomeorganizations.ZoosVictoriabelievesthatallchildrenshouldhavetheopportunitytohaveanearlymemoryofvisitingthezooandgainanunderstandingofthewildandnaturalworldthathumanssharewithanimals.ZoosVictoriawinsthesupportoftheIanPotterFoundationtohelpachievethisgoal.

Childrenfromdisadvantagedandoriginallyisolated(孤立的)schoolsareprovidedwiththeopportunitytovisitthezooandattendaninteractiveeducationexperienceatnocharge.

Theprogramobjectivesare:

·Tostartdeveloping“environmentalists”withinlowsocialandeconomicgroups.

·Tosupporttheyouthfromdisadvantagedbackgroundstohavegreaterawarenessofwildlifeandhaveongoingopportunitiestogetrelevantinformationaboutanimalsandtheenvironmentthroughthezoos’website.
