Firstly,punishments,especiallyphysicalones,areagainsttheFederalLaw.Inthelightofthelaw,itisclearlyarguedthatanyone,includingchildren’sparents,willfaceupto20yearsjailiftheyhaveusedpunitivemeasurestopenalisetheyoungindividuals.Forinstance,aprimaryschoolteacherhadbeenarrestedin2009andtheFederalPolicefoundthathehadutilizedcertainillegalmatterstocastigatehisstudentsbecausethosestudentshadnotcompletedtheirhomework.

Secondly,corporalpunishmentandverbalpunishmentarenotgoodmethodstoteachteenagersasthesemayfueltherebellion.Becausechildrencouldbeimmature,duringtheperiodofadolescence,anydiscipline,whichistoostrictforthem,mayresultincertaindetrimentalconsequences.Forexample,inJuly2011,aChinesehighschoolstudentmurderedhisfatherashewaspenalizedbyhisfatherphysicallyandmentallyduetohisfailureinfinalsemesterexams.

Tosumup,tocastigateayoungpersonisabehaviourwhichshouldbeprohibitedasitisnotonlyagainstthelaw,butalsocouldleadtoseriousconsequencessuchasmurderorsuicide.Fromthisperspective,itcouldbesuggestedthatchildrenshouldbeencouragedtoreasonouttheirrightorwrongdoingsguidedbyresponsibleadults.Bydoingso,itcouldensurethatthoseyoungpeopleareabletolearnfromtheirmistakesandgainskillsofdistinguishingrightfromwrong.
